Sensing & Learning for VI Professionals

Sensing & Learning is a research-based approach to assessment and instruction for students with significant multiple disabilities. I learned this approach alongside Millie Smith, we conducted research together in my schools, published our research in Journal of Visual Impairments and Blindness, and then put it all together in the book: Sensing & Learning from The American Printing House for the Blind. My goal for this course is that you will walk away with confidence in understanding your role in supporting students with significant multiple disabilities and have the tools to do it well.
